All of our pruning is carried out to a professional standard and is in accordance with modern pruning techniques and research. We will prune sensitively and ensure that your tree remains in good health. We carry out the following types of pruning:

• Crown lifting - removal of lower branches
• Crown thinning - general pruning of the whole canopy, often used to increase light levels and reduce shading
• Crown reduction - reducing the overall height and spread of the tree. This is often used to address structural defects or contain trees were insufficient space exists.
• Re-pollarding - pruning to address weaknesses introduced from old topping points.

We will advise you as to the most appropriate pruning method for your tree. All our pruning is carried out in accordance with British Standard for Tree Works (BS3998) and the European Tree Pruning Guide.
