Dismantling of Monterey Pine Bovey Tracey

Dismantling & Felling of Monterey Pine next to a road with Mobile Crane

The project was to remove a large Monterey Pine adjacent to a road in Bovey Tracey. In order to complete this project safely and cost effectively, a 50 tonne mobile crane was brought in to assist with the crane dismantle.

Due to the size of the crane we were forced to apply to Devon County Council for a full road closure. A footpath beneath the work area was also closed for the duration of the works. The site had low voltage power conductors within close proximity requiring additional safety measures to avoid contact with them.

The tree was then sectionally dismantled and processed by ground staff. Large timber sections were removed from the site with our Tractor mounted crane. The road was then cleared of sawdust and other associated debris prior to re-opening.

This smooth running project was completed on time to the satisfaction of our valued customer.
